Blue Water Junior Golf Association (BWJGA)

Fifteen years ago, the Blue Water Junior Golf Association was established in order to promote and offer competitive golfing opportunities to area youth from 10 to 17 years of age.  Since 1991, over 600 local junior golfers have participated in this fun program.  Several of them have been fortunate enough to earn scholarships to play golf in college or make working in the golf industry a career choice.  Several area golf courses and country clubs have participated over the years, discounting their greens fees in order to keep the price affordable for all participants.  Parent volunteers serve as ad-hoc tournament officials and golfers are pre-tested to assure proper attire, etiquette and fair play according to USGA and local course rules. 

OUR OBJECTIVE

The BWJGA seeks to promote the sport of golf among young adults and to further the game by emphasizing proper golf etiquette, healthy competition by student athletes, sportsmanship and fair play.
