Blue Water Junior Golf Association (BWJGA) For 20 years now, the Blue Water Junior Golf Association has been working to promote and offer competitive golfing opportunities to area youth from 10 to 17 years of age. Since 1991, over 1,000 local junior golfers have participated in this fun program, several of which have been fortunate enough to earn scholarships to play golf in college or have made a career working in the golf industry. Several area golf courses and country clubs have participated over the years, discounting greens fees, making play affordable for all participants. Participants are pre-tested to prove knowledge of the rules, etiquette and appropriate attire at the local venues they'll be playing. Though course parent volunteers are encouraged to assist, there will be a PGA-certified rules official on hand to resolve any on-course issues. OUR OBJECTIVE The BWJGA seeks to promote the sport of golf among young adults and to further the game by emphasizing proper golf etiquette, healthy competition by student athletes, sportsmanship and fair play.
